One final note: In Denmark (or wherever abroad you go) you will have a couple of rough days where you may feel really miserable and alone, it sucks. But you have to keep in mind a few things: first, you're in a wonderful place, and have an amazing opportunity to learn about who you are; second, you are surrounded by good people, friends you've made in a short period of time but already seem in some ways as close as friends at school; third, the sun will shine a few minutes longer every day you are there.

I'm really freaking jealous about the bike thing. Turkey doesn't "do" bikes. And I started biking, like a lot, at the beginning of last semester- in boston. And now I'm getting fat. Because it is socially unacceptable to ride bikes.
Also I'm jealous that you have a family. I've got an American roommate (who speaks no turkish) and a russian roommate (who speaks turkish, but almost no english).
