Letter from Jake and Kasidy

Jake wrote this, obviously.

Dad!

It's great to hear that you're doing ok. We don't have a comsystem hooked up in the house yet, as we thought we'd only need the audio visual set. We're working on getting one, but they're still pretty pricy down here on Bajor.

Kasidy is doing well, and so is the baby. They both had a checkup yesterday, and Doctor Bashir said they were in perfect health. Kasidy's been running the Xhosa from down here. I just moved down here about two weeks ago, to help get the rest of the house built, and all the walls are up now, and we have a roof.

The well hasn't been dug yet, so we've been using the replicator for water, but once we get someone out to do that, we'll just use it for snacks. I'm not much of a gardener, but I've been cooking a little since I got down here. I can't quite get your gumbo right. I think I've been using too much okra.

Listen to me, rambling on about silly stuff. I need to let you know how much I've missed you--we've missed you. And that it's not the same without you. Come home as soon as you can.

I feel like such a sneak, relaying these private messages. I need to make sure they get a proper comsystem soon.
