Just the other day I was wondering what had become of Garak, and now here he is, livejournaling away. Also, will_riker has a LJ. I suppose it's too much to hope that his evil twin will get one as well--Cardassian prisons don't have computers, I suspect. Which reminds me, I really should find out if that place is still standing, and if I can mount some sort ( Read more... )

I meant to ask you about that. I had heard that you knew my 'double'. We may have had our differences, but I never wished for him to come to a bad end. Hopefully something can be done about rescusing him. If he has already escaped, I'm not sure if he would inform me of it. So, I do wonder what became of him.

Me too. He gave up willingly to save his crew, which was an 'honorable' act, as Worf would say, and I always intended to rescue him. But then life got harder, the Cardassians and Romulans attacked the Dominion, and I lost track of the idea for a while.

I hope that he was in one of the better Cardassian prisons, if they have such a thing. Also, that the prison didn't come to a bad end in the war...

Yes, but they live for the shameless flirting. The Dax symbiont says I should encourage it because of all the pent-up sexual tension that needs released afterwards.

To answer your questions rather more accurately than Nerys apparently can:

1. He's not. Changelings don't have gender. He's been socialized to believe that to behave like a proper Bajoran male he should have an interest in female Bajorans, and by extension, completely uninteresting and obnoxious female Betazoids. I imagine that the Great Link will socialize it back out of him. Although, hard to tell. amanda_the_q still acts like she's female and it's been 3,000 years of our time. And I suspect the changelings *won't* talk him out of monogamy, so, aside from his own people, the only being he's likely to seek relations with would be Nerys, until she's dead, which makes the point moot at least for her ( ... )
