December 30, I went to my home town (the place where I grew up) to attend a little birthday celebration of a friend.
I really seldom go to that small city/town but every visit was like a warm and fuzzy feeling.
hearing people speak with the local accent was like a breath of fresh air. It wasn't the standard "Filipino" accent that you would hear in most of Metro Manila.
Though I did grow up there, I know I didn't acquire that accent. maybe because my parents were Visayan (maybe haha)
It took me about one and a half hours to get home. That's a long travel time if you're in metro Manila. In this case, I still felt relaxed.
Maybe it's the magic that you call "home town"
