we have a family friend in Iran who has a daughter about my age. the government won't give her a visa so that she can come over to the U.S. however, they would give her a "Fiance visa". Once she's here with that visa, she can apply in the U.S. for a regular Student visa and study here. That's where I come in. For this purpose I will be her "fiance

Actually I find this whole thing rather romantic (in a strictly platonic, help-friend-acheive-dreams kind of way). And now with ten fingers, I could actually say I've dated a pimp, and that I'm fooling around with an "engagedman" (not as good as married, but I will settle). This is all very noble Ghodsi-- but are her parents in on this? If they're against it, I say do it anyhow, but it may cause a snag later (just sos you know). Way to TAKE ON THE MAN, Ghods- be a lover, not a fighter:)
