At Patamon's Place
It was at about four in the afternoon when Tailmon set off to Patamon's
with her new baby (now named "Cat") hanging from her neck. After a
short run and climb she scratched Takeru's window to get Patamon's
attention.
atamon looked up sharply from where he was looking through some of
Takeru's old comic books. His blue eyes sparked excitedly as he caught
sight of Tailmon. He flitted to the window and opened it excitedly,
fumbling to help her inside.
"Hi!" he chirped happily. "Ooh, is the baby okay? It's not scared of
heights, right?" He stared at the kinda digivice hanging from her neck.
"No, I don't think he realizes it's so high. I named him Cat, he's got
kitty ears, see?" she chattered away happy showing off her child, she
was much more outgoing than usual forgetting the little bag she was
carrying on her back completely.
"Wow!" Patamon looked more closely at the screen. "I wonder if they
make ones like me?" he mused. "What does it do?"
"I don't know if they do... he eats and plays with me and sleeps at
night, a lot, but sometimes he wakes up. He also gets sick sometimes,
when the weather changes in there too suddenly ands I forget to hand
him his umbrella or hat for the sun," she answered, her pride showing
about her little baby.
"Wow! it's like a mini world," Patamon said. "Does he talk back?"
"Not a lot, he beeps and whines but I think he hasn't been taught to
talk. Perhaps he needs to learn, still," she answered thoughtfully, and
looking at the kitty ears she suddenly rememebered.
"Here, this is for you!" she handed him a package containing a hood
with kitty ears, "so you'll look like Cat and me, I bought it in
France."
"Wow!" Patamon forgot about her new baby. "That's so cool!" He put it
on. "I wonder if I can fly like this?" He attempted it and aside from
taking off a little lopsided, he managed. "Here, hold on, I have
something for you, too."
He flew across Takeru's bedroom, looking through the part of the
dresser he owned. "Oh, here." He pulled out a milk chocolate candy bar.
"This is American candy," he said, flying back and handing it to her.
"I hope you like it, I've never tried this kind before."
"Let's eat it together and watch a movie or something. Got anything
interesting to watch? Maybe Cat will like movies too," she offered
never forgetting her little kid. Quite like a mother.
"Hmm," Patamon thought. "It better be a good movie for Cat, we don't
want to scare him. Come on, let's go look." He took off again, the hood
feeling strange against his back. "Let's let Cat pick," he decided once
they were in front of the shelf of videos in the Takaishi's living
room.
Cat was bouncing there, up and down... Tailmon looked at the shelf and
read some titles. And then Cat pooped.
"I think he doesn't like thrillers. Better make it a romance," she
commented cleaning up the mess.
