I don't get the hype about this book. I've ranted repeatedly about its inappropriateness as a BDSM novel (BDSM really doesn't work the way it's presented in this book), and in any case it's just trash. That it should now be a feature film is even more laughable.

Even as a pure fantasy that might fuel a BDSM fetish, it feels lacking - probably because it tries, and fails, to show a "real" BDSM relationship, rather than going all the way and having Christian lock Ana in his pleasure/torture chamber and using her as his slave 24/7. Like, commit to your D/s fantasy already. I wonder what 50 Shades fans would think of Story of O?
