I mean, I'm one of the most patient people I know (no seriously), but when it comes to series and stories and such, even though I may love it to bits, I am more than likely to forget unless I'm being reminded constantly (signing up for lj has helped that somewhat).
I know what you mean. I have fanfiction shortcuts all over my favorites list, just so I'll remember that I wanted to finish them. Those damned authors and their long updates. *tries to look innocent* :)
