Good to all the good things. I hope the feeling of desperation is abated soon.
I have various coping mechanisms for feeling crap but that one that coincides well with what lathany has previously written in redoing things that I know I enjoy or give me good feelings. Replaying FF could also be mentioned :-)
Evenings of effectively saying "bugger all the work night rules, i'm going to be silly" are also often fun.
I hope the break works for you and your counselor sounds great.
Please assume I have forgotten everything I know about this kind of stuff. It's all good advice, my mind feels so woolly and messy I need these reminders.
I want to take the sick leave now, but there is so much to do I just can't bring myself to ask for it now. And you're right about the free time. I struggle when working but the unstructured hours are the hardest. They stretch out in a scary way and I feela horrible pressure to Do without any energy or motivation to do anything. Urgh.
