I have a tendency to only post when I am so miserable or frustated or [insert negative emotion here] to the point when I just have to spout about it and here is a nice safe place to do so ( Read more... )

Hellooo.

I like Othello, it is a game I grew up with (this may mean I am biased). Once you know how to play it is a matter of not making mistakes but in the mean time much fun can be had prodding it until you know it. If you haven't played it before don't let anyone spolier you.

On the digitally enhanced game side almost everything I play... everything I play since not living at Templars', is on the PS2 which has a range of game based goodness and isn't pricey anymore. It also comes in small. If that is still too expensive then there are a whole bunch of board games in the world which range from games triskellian likes to games I like (the lack of shared ground in there is a running joke ( ... )

Ditto the San Juan, and I also like Lost Cities. But yes, there are heaps of good 2-player games with a pack of playing-cards. T and I have played a lot of a Nomination Whist variant, a game that works just as well with 2 as it does with lots.

Te extraño también, querida. It was teh suxor that we missed each other, especially at this point when we both really needed it! We should skype. Let's make the effort to do that.

Glad you have some positive things to post. I actually do want to hear about the medical mystery, and there's little chance of squicking me - email me, if you don't want to go into detail here.
