Oh My Video!

Firstly, I just don’t understand *WHY* everything I do on my laptop at home comes out 10 times darker on my work computer :P So I apologize if this is a bit hard to see. It was not done intentionally (or even knowingly at the time). Also, the quality isn’t the best. The added darkness doesn’t help at all, but maybe your screens will view this ( Read more... )

I think for a first time, you did an excellent job. Granted, I don't know anything about video game AMVs (what the hell is that, by the way- Ad Music Video or something?), but it seemed pretty good as a whole. I liked how you integrated the story animation between scenes of game play. The story animation is always nicer to look at, anyway. I guess my only critique would be can you zoom in on the video game action so you don't see stuff like the text and clutter at the top of the screen? It's a little distracting and takes away from its flow... but only slightly.

I still can't understand why you don't get into this stuff for a profession. You should check out trade schools in your area to see if they are offering educations for making video games. It's really the thing to be doing right now and you could actually make a living doing it!

On another note, I saw Howl's Moving Castle and I LOVED it! I just had to let you know, because I knew you'd appreciate that. I also saw Spirited Away, and I liked it, too, but not quite as much ( ... )

Glad to know you liked it. AMV= Amatuer Made Video. It's very possible for me to pan in closer, but for gamers we expect to see that stuff in "gameplay" videos. Also, until I can get better quality videos I'm afraid zooming in too much would distort the quality of the video. But I am still trying out the multitude of things my movie maker provides for me. For this "test" video I only edited the music in, and did some cutting and editing to make it flow better. But I could do so much more. It was 1 AM by the time I finished this though, so I was eager to get to bed =0P I'm going to try another one tonight and take more time on it. We'll see what happens ( ... )
