Show of hands...

Who else is annoyed by what FF.Net is doing? I admit, I first noticed the annoying images alongside the listed stories. Then, the next day when they actually posted about it, I saw that they also posted about a new crack down on adult fiction. And then I saw that box thing. *sighs* The 'no adult fics' policy is, of course, the worst thing they've ( Read more... )

FF.Net was the first place I went when I started reading/writing fan fiction, but there were just so many little things that started to annoy me about it that I rarely go on there anymore. From what I've heard of the new updates I'm kind of glad I'm not based over there anymore.

AO3 has it's faults too but I do find it better overall. If you need/want an invite over there I can see if I can get one.

I don't have anything adult on FF.net, but I know people who do/did and... IDK. I mean the ratings are there for a reason, so wtf. What ticks me off more was someone mentioning some people had their accounts removed because they had adult fiction. Last I recall, FF.net doesn't even bother to send warnings for deleting things, so that's unfair in my mind. (I had a fic or two deleted once for being "MST3K-style", which they weren't. I've only posted about one fic on there since then.) FU, FF.net.

Haven't seen the story lists to comment on that. *avoids the site* XD;

I wish I could help you with the cats, but we have five already. ;w; I hope your grandmother can find good homes for them.

P.S. I sent you a pm about a Hetalia meet for the end of the month, but I'm thinking LJ might've filed it as "suspicious" because I put a link in the message. >_> FU too, LJ.

... Actually, I did get it. It just fell victim to my usual method of replying to things:

Step 1. Notice message right before heading home, where there is no internet.
Step 2. Decide to reply the next day on the computer instead of tonight on the phone (which likes to delete what I write on LJ).
Step 3. Finally reply to message days later when someone/something reminds me that I haven't yet.

Anyways, about FF.Net. I'm more annoyed by the images, actually. But the removal of stories and accounts (especially accounts) also sucks. They should leave the fics already up alone, and just not allow any new adult fics to be posted. Like a Grandfather policy. Or something.

I am now off to reply to your PM. Honest. Right this second.

Ahh FF.Net, right now they are just annoying me to no end. Making me wonder why I come back to there...But I'll be really sad if certain stories get deleted. There are some amazing stories out there with beautiful plots that only may have one scene that goes against the rules.
