Berlin photo links post

So yeah, was in Berlin for a week and a half or so. Had a good time! No time for detailed write-ups, but I posted a bunch of photo sets to tumblr using hotel wifi, so I'll just link all those in one place for now, for those who don't want to flip through other stuff over there looking for 'em.

Awesome! I haven't spent nearly enough time in Berlin (just 2 nights.) Jon likes organs too. I haven't seen that holocaust memorial, but I went through checkpoint charlie back in '03. Re: "Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe" is the word Holocaust no longer used? Is something wrong with it PC wise, or is that part of the holocaust-denial sentiment?

No, I don't think there's any problem in Germany with referring to the Holocaust in general, it's just that the monument in question is *specifically* to the murdered Jews. There are other monuments around that include Romani, homosexuals, the disabled, etc. That's one of the controversies surrounding it; I don't know enough of the history of its creation off the top of my head to know the rationale behind that aspect.
