[Shushou is walking along, wandering right into this beautiful landscape. She blinks and looks around, surprised by the vibrancy of it all. She hasn't seen anything like this in a month - or, well, ever. It brings a tiny, tiny smile to her lips.

And then she sees the kirin, and her eyes and mouth widen.]

[kirinofen]

[He senses her enter before she spots him. Not knowing who it is at first but not minding so long as they don't disrupt the peace, Rokuta leaps, soars momentarily in the air at an impossible speed, and then lands gracefully a few steps from Shushou. Now he recognizes her.]

Oh, hey there. It's you.

[fledglingofkyou]

[Shushou is dumbfounded for a moment. She's never seen a kirin, not in his true form.

When she has regained her senses, she bows formally.]

Taiho.

[kirinofen]

[Rokuta knows he should find some kind of irony here that a ruler is bowing to him. Okay, technically not a ruler yet but where he's from she is. And he does appreciate the ironic humor here just a little but it's also just very weird. He shifts on his hooves and lowers his head some to her.]

Haha... It's okay, you can stand. There's no need for that.

[At his permission, Shushou complies and stands up straight again. She looks at him with wonder.

After a few moments, she regains her speech.]

Is this... where is this?

[kirinofen]

[He hesitates slightly at her question. Telling her it was En would probably not be the best idea. Although he wanted to, he thought better of it. Instead he went with the more literal explanation.]

It's my dream. I think it's one of the City's curses.

[She blinks. Did not expect this.]

[He chuckles.] Yeah... This happened before. People were dreaming and the dreams became visible to others. People could also enter the dreams of others. So I think that's what this is.

[He lifts his head to look heavenward, thoughtful.] Yeah. It's... the vision of the kingdom I've always wanted.

[She looks at him quizzically for the explanation.] These curses are weird.

[But then smiles.] It's a good vision! I daresay I share this wish.

[He laughs.] I'll say they are, but you ain't seen anything yet. This one is relatively tame compared to some. [Like that fairytale curse still unfortunately etched into his mind. Or the fetish one...]

Ah... that's right. You're on a shouzan. For Kyou, right?

I can only imagine.

[She heaves a sigh, but at his last words, she glances at him with mild surprise. Right, she told them about it.]

Yes, that's right.

[kirinofen]

Maybe you'll be lucky and the truly awful ones will avoid you. [and he says this with sincerity because he really doesn't want anyone suffering from the bad curses. ... Not that there are any good ones, but still.

He takes a few steps closer to her and peers at her curiously.]

[He'd smile if he could, but alas he cannot in this form. Instead he just nods.] Thanks.

People have a tendency to underestimate others based on age or looks. Don't let it get to you. [Although he didn't think she needed him to tell her that.] Are you traveling by yourself?
