"What is this?"
Gokudera stared at the small ring of metal held out to him on the palm of a large hand suspiciously, the hint of a scowl on his face. Yamamoto smiled hesitantly and pressed the sliver of metal towards Gokudera once again.
"Won't you take it, Gokudera? It's only small. What's another ring on Gokudera's hand?"
Gokudera glanced down at the rings he wore before he looked back up at Yamamoto again.
"I don't see any reason to." Gokudera turned away although the lightest hint of a blush graced his cheeks.
"No one would ever notice it on Gokudera." Yamamoto continued, "See? It doesn't have anything on it."
Gokudera was still frowning, arms crossed over his chest as he glanced down at the tiny ring again. Yamamoto smiled at him yet, although his smile seemed slightly pleading. Yamamoto was worried, and that was strange.
Yamamoto wanted Gokudera to wear this ring. Even if nothing could come out of them or their relationship, at the least... he wanted a mark of himself on Gokudera. Even if no one ever realised it. Some small proof that, indeed, they were together.
Finally, Gokudera gave a heavy sigh and spoke.
"So... how am I meant to wear that tiny thing?"
Yamamoto grinned widely now, his relief evident, and gently, he pulled one of Gokudera's pale, long, slim hands free. He admired those hands. Perfect for the piano, but Gokudera had abandoned the instrument for incendiary devices (although Yamamoto knew he still played the piano from time to time from the number of times he'd accidentally walked in on Gokudera playing). Yamamoto could imagine the hands mixing gunpowder with precision, and not only that, but the lithe fingers... anyway, he was not going there.
Grasping the small ring in forefinger, middle finger and thumb, he slid the ring onto the pinky finger of Gokudera's left hand and admired the perfect fit. Gokudera was blinking at his own hand in slight consternation and withdrew it a little roughly, although Yamamoto let go willingly the minute Gokudera had begun to pull his hand away.
"Um. Thanks." Gokudera mumbled, the slight flush over his cheeks redder than it had been before as he folded his hand back into the crossed arms over his chest again.
Yamamoto nodded, although the pleasure was all his. He should be the one doing the thanking. Although to Gokudera it seemed like a plain band of metal, Yamamoto had engraved words on the side of the ring not possibly seen by anyone unless the ring was taken off. Although the words engraved were few, they held the depth of his emotion in them.
君は僕のすべて。
You are my everything.

This has been mulling for a while... and it's not what I had in mind. >_>; Although the 'plot' by itself is fine, the writing of it... not sure what happened there. As usual.
It's also kind of part of a larger fic, but I'm not that sure how I'll work it in exactly, so you might not even recognise this in it. XD

Teaser?:
"Here."
Scowling, Gokudera flung a small object at him from across the room which shone as it spun through the air. Yamamoto's finely trained baseball instincts kicked in and he grabbed it from the air without even thinking which only seemed to infuriated Gokudera more.
"There. Take it back. We're through." Gokudera thinned his lips and spun on his heel and stormed off like the tempest he was the guardian of.
It wasn't until his footsteps had faded did Yamamoto open his clenched hand slowly and look at the small gleaming object in his palm.
