Street Fighter 4 Exclusive 'Fei Long vs. Cammy' gameplay HD

Love all the otaku comments on the page this clip came from. Just what problem English speakers have with hearing their own language is something I'll never understand... silly.

Pft, what do these people have to complain about? They're just fight reactions, good lord.

Nice job with ol' Camms, British accents're always fun right? ;]

*raises hands* Ooh, I can answer this question! Okay, most fighters have everyone speaking Japanese (save for Tekken 4,5, and 6 and Virtua Fighter 4 and 5) so it's more or less a norm. Most people don't like hearing English speakers translate super moves or specials cause it doesn't sound right (play the English version of King of Fighters Maximum Impact as it is a PRIME example).

In the case of Street Fighter IV, you guys did it just right. I'm not kissing any arse here but the way Capcom handled the English voicing is top notched. Folks are never happy with something; at least we're getting Street Fighter IV at all since the U.S. is not getting Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (you'll probably see this at Ikkicon). I'm seriously looking forward to this release and play the heck out of this! :D

Peace and love!
Shaun

People think I'm crazy that I like watching dubs. But I can watch anime or play video games in either language and enjoy it either way. I think both have excellent things to offer. But maybe it's just because I'm an aspiring dub actor too and like listening to the professionals. Yeah, I "study" when I watch dubs. Nerd.

But yeah, some people take themselves way too seriously over really dumb stuff.

The first trailer they put up had one line of english, followed by the Japanese arcade edition. We had rows of lines of people complaining about the grunts and bad pronunciation. I love people.
love for the new year,

From what I remember of Street Fighter II back in the day the only ones who said anything were Guile (Who was in english), Ken and Ryu (Trained by a Japanese Martial Artist so all of thier attacks were Japanese), and Dahlism (Who basically just kept saying "Yoga!" in front of everything. The fun part was they weren't voice clips they were computer reproductions of something approximating a voice. (Like the difference between MIDI and WAV/MP3)

I guess my point is: What are people complaining about? Most Street Fighter games barely had voice work. Until you started getting into the X-Men era which was something like 94-98.

From what I saw of the gameplay it looks 2D retro with a couple of style-tweaks. Which makes it interesting compared to all of the 3D fighters out now.

It's nice to see something coming out of the Street Fighter II/IV property other than some really nice Artwork/Manga from Udon. Although I've generally grown out of pure Fighting Anime/Manga.
