I really do want to go back to school. But not necessarily to be a vet. I really want to go into zoology/animal behaviour. But that all costs money. I guess a student loan would be fine. I have to figure all this crap out soon. Now I have a good reason to be more on top of it. It's a lot to wrap my head around for some reason.

school is a hard thing to wrap your head around - esp when you'd be a mature student & have been out of school land for awhile. You should talk to aaron about it - he went back when he was 30 and had a REALLY hard time getting his head around even applying for a 5 year program. But honestly (and I KNOW he'll say the same) it was the best decision he's ever made. He LOVES what he's doing and he honestly can't believe he's getting a BSc in Nursing. He's SO proud of himself (as he should be).
You should go for coffee with him & maybe he can put your worries to rest - or at least take comfort in the fact that someone else knows how you're feeling!

That would be nice, will you let him know that I would love to hang out?
I think we are due for a good visit anyway since you have been in the city for a while and we have not done that.

It is kind of weird, this is the first job I really cared about not getting fired from. Who tells you you are good at your job then fires you? I am really shocked.
I actually really enjoy swords and knives. I started a collection a long time ago, but it's pretty expensive.

I don't think I have any reason not to be positive. Any difficult position Saby and I have been in the past couple of years has turned out really well :)
We are pretty resourceful people, and we want to make things work. Plus, we have a huge wonderful support system of amazing friends that have made all the difference for us during hard times.
I actually feel very loved right now. I think that surprise party came at just the right time :)

oh my god kirsten, that's horrible. I'm so sorry.

I wouldn't have fired you. I think they're a little weird on the people reading. As in, they're off. Have their own issues, sort of thing.

I'm so sorry. :(

Ya, I think the "boss" is unfortunately a bit disconnected from the majority, and the one person who had a problem convinced him that it was a HUGE deal. Everyone else seems shocked about it, so at least I don't feel like the whole place rejected me. I actually hung out with one of my co-workers tonight, It was nice.

Who was the person who had the problem? I am just curious.

Ingrid. I don't have any hard feelings, when she sees something "wrong" she really jumps on it. I don't know if she really meant to get me fired though.

What the... Ok, that's officially messed up. Calling in sick is fine, but not apologizing for calling in sick is not? Um, isn't the "calling in" part about being sick the part where you maintain a professional relationship and inform them, as helpfully as... oh, fuck it. That's messed.
