Leo's one of the protagonists. And his story arc has a lot to do with him learning from his mistakes and figuring out how to get what he wants.

I know the world's full of stories about how Gay Folks Can't Have Love, so I've felt kind of insecure about this particular story arc, especially without a novel's worth of pulling the story in a different direction. I don't want to hurt people, or drown out other peoples' stories, you know?
