So last night I spent the night having 3 diffrent coffees with 3 diffrent female friends and they all yapped about there relationships and desires to me etc. complaining about x's x husbands current lovers etc and all i could think of is hey im single and treat you way better as a friend then your partners treat you why are you even with them

A few years back I had a similar thing re: guys complaining to be about their relationships and seemingly not appreciating me

It is also unfortunately true I believe - that once you've gotten yourself pegged as the "friend," there is something in the female psychology that can't (or won't) make the leap past that. Whereas guys are pretty much always willing to make the leap (if only into sex-if not more) with their female compatriots...Girls not so much.
