God doesn't want me to play Dragon Age 2. FACT!

There is a malicious force at work here... but more probably, some kind spirit is trying to save my soul and sanity. Sorry bb, I appreciate the effort but I lost both before I hit 12. My Guardian Angel GTFO ages ago, currently lives in Spain with his cocoa-skinned live partner.

While I think Dragon Age is one of the most amazing games I've ever ( Read more... )

I don't think DA2 is that bad, I've played it through five times (compared to the four times I've completed DA:O and the three times I've played Mass Effect through). Most of the problems with DA2 are the result of poor design (there's no excuse for reusing maps like that). The characters, the major selling point of any Bioware game, are likeable enough (I adore Aveline, Varric and Fenris). I'm also much more attached to my Hawkes than my Wardens.

And technically not EVERYONE is bi...just the major love interests (except Sebastian). Okay, okay, that's a cop out. Apparently making everyone bisexual was just easier. Well, that spirit of laziness is unfortunately common throughout the game. I still liked it though.

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time tracking it down. Have you played Awakening? It has some fun bits.

I've spent every second of my 3 days off to play Dragon Age 2 and while I admit there are a lot of problems (yes, reusing the maps, lazylazylazylazy) I like it a lot.

Of course I played Awakening, therefore, when I saw Anders I could only weep - here's the ~persecuted one! BUT BUT BUT, having to choose between him and the emo git Fenris, I chose Anders (and Justice, I LOVE Justice) and I regret nothing; his story is so strongly integrated with the main plot [I play male warrior]. Also, it looks like I was wrong and mages are, in face Persecuted, not ~persecuted. I haven't finished it tho and I have a bad feeling about where is the plot heading re: Anders (but don't tell me)!
