But hey, from what I'm reading they made him gay because it fit, not because they wanted to grab headlines. RIGHT, MARVEL. >_>

Marvel is just stupid. God that wedding pisses em off. It should be a good thing but because of who it's to and how they went about it it's not. Also, if your boyfriend fully believes you could dump him at any time, marriage is not a good idea.

What is One Million Mums? And how are you doing?

OMM is an online community of crazy right-winged mums that constantly try to boycott anything gay-friendly, to protect Them Children. No idea how many of them are actually mums or women, but the community has a bit over 40.000 members, so a bit under 1.000.000. The last time they tried to call for a boycott of a comic book because of it having a gay content, the issue SOLD OUT completely. They also tried to boycott JC Penny over hiring Ellen DeGeners as a spoke-woman, so JC Penny struck back by having two gay dads and their kids on the posters for the Father's Day sale. Yay.
I am doing fine but my life is completely uneventful. No new sordid love affairs, no new job, even no new fandoms. BORED NOW!

My life is super boring too. I'm going back to comics and getting into Marvel Universe fandom because, hey, I really liked Avengers and Thor. But yeah, boring, boring, boring.

From the interviews, it seems that - on contrary to Marvel whose gay marriage is clearly and openly a publicity stunt - it was the writer of the book who decided to make Alan gay, in order to make up for the loss of Obsidian. The Editor-In-Chief agreed to that with no problem - DC had always been more LGBTQ friendy that Marvel. On top of that, I must admit, that, 2 issues down, the book is one of the best DC titles at the moment.
Though I still prefert Aquaman. HIS BOOK! I MEAN I PREFER HIS BOOK! >_>
