Nolan had actually scouted out the location of this room out hours and hours ago, but... Eh. A boy had to explore! Starfleet style! Really, it was practically mandatory. Buuut, he'd done enough of that by now. Time to check up on this room again.

He offered up a super casual "Hey Dad" as he wandered in and promptly flopped down on Jim's bed.

"...uh." It wasn't often Jim was left speechless. "Did you just call me Dad?"

Because yeah. No.

"Wrong room."

"Yeah, I just called you Dad, Dad." Because he was, see. It was as easy as that. "Do you have any snacks?"

"Stop calling me that," Jim said, making a face. "And...maybe."

Was he going to share them? Maybe.

"Who even are you?"

Dom leaned his head into Jim's door. Part of that was just about being social; he was also curious about Gert's whole 'you're from another universe' theory.

He started on what was the less weird topic of conversation.

"So, I think I got to feed your kid pancakes this morning."

"He's a freaking black hole," Jim said, turning to look at the unfamiliar face in his doorway. "Sorry. Did he behave?"

"He helped inspire my kid to eat pancakes until he practically barfed, but besides that -- yeah, he did," Dominic answered. "Just wanted to apologize for the potential sugar high."

Jim waved a hand. "Nah, nothing to apologize for. If he ate that much, he deserves his stomachache. My kid, not yours. And if he's high on sugar, I'll kick him out."
