Yeah, so, Natalie's mood and focus hadn't changed much during the day and it was really starting to get on her nerves. So, she was sending a perfectly innocent text in-between her intern interviews.
Happen to have time to come learn about proper cat care tonight? May need catsitter next week, this week and next looking super busy.
That voicemail had actually been pretty heartwarming. Good job, Jim. Still, Natalie had taken her own sweet time in responding. Mostly because he'd pegged her weirdness exactly right, and that was an embarrassing thing to acknowledge. So she'd had to think about how to respond.
But now, a voicemail.
"It's Nat. I'm not mad." Just getting that out there. She paused, before continuing. "And I wouldn't ever choose Janice over you either." Another pause. "And I miss you. Okay, bye."

Envy didn't really know when Jim might be getting the small package. Or if he'd have any means of playing the damn thing.
No matter. At some point, the package might make its way to him, and inside it he'd find a CD copy of The Clash at Demonhead's five-song Underwater Motor Scooter EP.
Hope this finds you well. - E, said the accompanying note.
