[Kirk is surprised when, instead of the surface of Ferras II, he is instead greeted with a view of a colonial-style bedroom. He immediately glances around, finds his away team lacking, as well as his phaser, and flips open his communicator, hitting the transmit button.]

Kirk to Enterprise. Come in, Enterprise.

[That... was not what he was expecting.

Is that a little girl.]

Hello, my name is Jim. What's yours?

[Yes. It's Lily motherfucking Worth.]

I'm Lily Worth! You're on the MS Elegante, and we're going to the Golden Shore!

[She refrains from mentioning the Other Kirk. Kirk Prime? Whatever.]

[Hey, he wouldn't be quite as freaked out by that. At least she's being helpful, too.]

Lily Worth, I need to speak to the captain of this... MS Elegante. I can't go to the Golden Shore; I've got a diplomatic meeting on Ferras II to get to. As one captain to another -

[And there is the unmistakable noise of a dunce hat hitting Kirk on top of his pretty little head.]

....

Miss Worth, is your vessel capable of beaming objects?

That won't get you anywhere, you know.

And why wouldn't it? [Mr. Strange Voice.]

Because Captain Redd will not listen. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to our homes until we've reached this Golden Shore.

James Hook, by the way.

[Captain Redd. He has a name, and he files it away.]

So we've been kidnapped... Is this a slave vessel of some sort?

Jim Kirk.

[Royston doesn't know a Federation, but he's willing to try and help.]

Captain, I'm afraid you're a long way from wherever you happen to call home.

[Kirk would be greatful if he wasn't confused, and can't get this hat off.]

Would you care to explain what you mean by that?

[Oh, BASTION, now there's a dunce hat on Royston's head, as well. He sounds a little annoyed as he tugs on it.]

The good Captain Redd has decided to bring us here, with little reason and no warning. Some of us have been here for a long time. I believe a few have been here over a year? I, myself, have only been here a few weeks.

[The emphasis on Captain Redd's name sounds a little testy.]

[Kirk's sorry about that, really, he is. He listens to Royston with a perturbed expression, not that he can see it.]

That's just great. Though I'm sure there's a reason for it - and I intend on finding out what that is.

...A year, really? [Wow.] I don't know how much it'll mean to you or the people who have been here this long, but when I find a way off, I'll make sure to take as many with me as I can. [He is absolutely, positively assured of this.]

I hope you like booze, man - 'cause you're gonna' be drinking a lot of it.

Well, I like booze.

You saying that's about the only thing I can hope to do?

There's an arcade kickin' around, a buffet... there're some pretty rad decks to go run around on too - racing deck - so I guess you could keep pretty busy, but main thing is, it's an open bar.

kirkinator March 23 2010, 05:15:37 UTC
Can I have the locations of the buffet, and those other decks you're talking about?

Actually, do you know how many decks there are?

They told me my friends can't come find me, so I bet it's the same for you. I mean, it's not like we're prisoners--well, no, we kind of are, but they don't tie you to chairs or anything. It's gourmet food and nice beds, actually. But you just can't leave, apparently. I don't know, I've only been here a couple days, but I'm just going with it.

They've never encountered the crew of the Enterprise. She's the best ship and crew in the fleet. [...one of the only ones right now, too.] But... I'll keep that in mind when I'm looking around.

So all the cabins are set up like this?

couldbeavillain March 23 2010, 05:17:56 UTC
Set up like what? Nice and comfy? Mines nice and comfy. I have a bed. It's soft, too.

...Nice and comfy's one part, but I was asking - no one on board is stuck in some sort of cell? They're all equally accommodated?
