After weeks of not posting anything, this article on fark.com made me want to find the nearest LJ client and spam your friend pages again. It links to this article about perpetual singles in the Boston Globe. [The fark comments are a mixed bag of "bashing the ugly people pictured in the article" and saying "fuck yeah, women suck!!!11oneone". I ( Read more... )

Not 2 hours before finding this article on Fark, I was playing Metroid Prime 2 because I was done with projects and I needed the break. I was playing my most recent file, which I started sometime in February. As I was leaving Sanctuary Fortress to get the Sky Temple Keys in the Temple Grounds, I decided to have some fun. I was doing some Jack Bauer-like moves while I played, where I would lock my aim on a Rezbit, shoot it with an Entangler in mid-air as I fell to the floor, and then fire a Missile to destroy the damn thing. As I was demolishing Rezbits, I asked myself "why am I so good at this game?"

The answer, which came to me in seconds:
"Because I sat in my apmt all alone for a year playing this game instead of going out and talking to people."

At least I saw what I was doing wrong that kept me alone!
