Christopher had moved away and Spock had, for the moment, lost sight of him. But he escorted Tina to the bar and considered a drink for himself as well. It promised to be a difficult evening, especially if his mate was intent on avoiding him.
"Hi again, George," Tina said, with an extra-sunny smile to try and make up for Spock's surliness. "Can I get another James Kirk? And are you drinking, Spock?"
"Hello again, lovely lady, heya Spock," George smiled at the couple. "Want me to just make you up something Spock? Your Christopher said you like chocolate."
Concerned, Tina leaned towards him so that only he could hear her when she spoke in his ear. "Honey, if you want to go find him, go. You don't need to keep me company, really. Parties are supposed to be fun."
Tina laughed. "Of course, my mistake. I thought it was your 'sulking' face or maybe your 'surly' face. But now that I'm looking more closely I can see the difference clearly. It's all in the eyebrows."
"George Kirk."
It passed for a greeting of sorts.
