[NVC Day 14, Early Morning] -- [And So the Sun Rises] -- [Open to All]

After a long night at the theater, meeting Spock and his brother, and everything afterwards, it had been difficult to sleep. Along with the tickets, Jim had received a message about the trial's start the next morning. He had refused to let it bother him all night, just wanting to enjoy some time with Bones despite everything they had been forced to

Pasha panted, the increased gravity and early morning heat made it extremely difficult to run with relative ease like she was used to. She slowed down to a gentle jog along the Vulcan coastline, the air here reminded her of that of San Francisco and jogging downtown in the mornings before anybody else on the Starfleet academy campus was awake.

As she finally slowed down to a walking pace she took a long drag from her water bottle, wetting her lips again and glancing around. New Vulcan was certainly pretty. It made a nice change from the inside of a Starfleet gymnasium. Then Pasha blinked and squinted as she spotted a familiar head of blonde hair. She pushed her hair out of her eyes before raising her hand to wave at him to garner his attention. “Keptain?”

"Somehow I do not think me drinking him under the table is his idea of a good time." She grinned. Most people found it difficult to keep up with her when it came to drinking. Thank goodness for good old Russian livers.

"... well, it'd sure as hell stop him from showing you another flower, now wouldn't it?"

[mr_chekov]

She laughed at that "Wery true. But sadly he is a lightveight, it isn't exactly hard to get him drunk. And vhen he is drunk he can recite the latin names for flowers and the crossbreeds. It is quite impressiwe really."

"Well, two things come to mind." Pasha was very pretty when she laughed, Jim noted. "One is that Sulu needs to get laid, very badly. The second is that it sounds like he just wants to be close to you."

At Jim's words the navigator turned a resounding shade of red, her blush even ruminating at the tips of her ears. "Yes, vell...that is an interesting thought." Oh crap. Pasha stared out at the ocean trying to calm down her blush, because the thought of Hikaru and the words 'get laid' were doing very bad things in her imagination.

Jim studied that reaction, and after a moment, said bluntly, "can I ask you a personal question, Pasha? ...Just Jim, not your captain." He smiled.

She nodded "Yes, sure, ask avay." That probably wasn't the brightest idea she had ever had.

"Have you actually had sex yet?" It was blunt, but it would change his suggestion for the blonde.

[mr_chekov]

At that point her blush increased by threefold. "I-I-I uh...vell...it is not that...not really that important and I hawe been busy and suff and..." She cleared her throat and looked quite pointedly out at the ocean once more. "If you must know, no."

[kirktastic]

Kiiiind of what he expected, but he hid it from his face. "I can respect that. Not a lot of people wait." It made him smile, a little. "Are you waiting for the right sort of person to come along?" He paused, thinking about it. Was it Pasha that had been with the two other girls? While he could keep up with all the faces, all the relationships tended to blur together. If Pasha didn't count anything she had done as sex, then she hadn't.

"No. It is not so much as me vaiting as other people being, I guess the vord is intimidated? People just tend not to see me that vay." It had been something she had noticed. Hell, that was why it had been so entertaining to flirt with James the other night even though most of what she was saying had been a complete bluff.

"Why not?" His brows went up at her statement. "You're beautiful, smart, funny, and a smart ass." He grinned at the last bit. "And what about Sulu?"

"Vith all due respect, Jim, it takes one to know one." She replied. Pasha gnawed on the inside of her cheek, quietly mulling over his question. "Hikaru is my best friend, anything else other then vhat has already happened betveen us might be more awkward."

He hesitated a little, but finally offered, "Bones was, and still is, my best friend. ...Doing things... doesn't always make it awkward. Besides, you could always take it slow." ...We did. "One step at a time. If it does get really awkward, you stop and know you tried it out so it isn't a question anymore."

Pasha nodded but offered something in return "A few days ago I vas in a cafe and this Wulcan man started to hit on me-- at least the Wulcan equiwilent of hitting on someone. Hikaru appeared out of novhere and suddenly started acting veird, putting his arm around my shoulder, trying to hold my hand in front of eweryone. Anyvay to cut a long story shorter, later on ve ended up hawing an argument about it and I might hawe sort of punched him and then kissed hima dn he kissed me back and- vell, yes, that is about the sum of it." That hadn't been so much of a short story.
