Bones sleepily reached for Jim's hand and wrapped it around his torso, pulling him closer. Their legs tangled and he pushed back against Jim.

"...hey." Then he fell back into his sleep.

If it had been possible with Bones' stealing of his hand, Jim would have facepalmed. "Wake UP!" He laughed, giving a nip to the ear he had been nuzzling at. "I'll stay here and snuggle with you - Dammit Bones!" On cue, Bones had pushed both cold feet up against his legs. Jim sighed. "Open your eyes." He held out the back of his hand in the air above Bones' eyes.

His head pulled back, a growling noise escaping him. But at Jim's words, a hazel eye cracked open and focused on the hand in front of him.

But it was still a moment before the fog lifted enough for him to realize what he was seeing. Bones reached for Jim's hand, then turned to look at him, a smile cracking his face at the familiar golden hair. Then he looked down at his own left hand - his own little tattoo was gone, but the band was back. "We're us again."

...How he loved that smile. Jim reached out and pulled Bones into a quick kiss, grinning like a fool. "We are. Saw Spock hauling ass out of here just before I climbed into bed with you, so I'm guessing he's himself too and Zach's going to get a hell of a wake up call."
