I'm the opposite. essay down (though in my opinion pretty badly- oh my, what am I doing to myself here!?) and reading to go.
I think I will read your Boethius on the morrow.
Don't ask me why I'm checking lj at past 3 in the morning. Not much I have done recently is logical. I haven't figured out why (does that make sense, to figure out the logic behind a lack of logic?)
Talk to you soon.
ps. my roommate though you were tres nice and cool. because she and I so often say the same thing these days (and because you know I think so anyway) I must concur.
I wish it was 12:00. I did the reading first because I feared I would fall asleep in my chair if I did it second :P . The essay has now been very poorly down (it was only a predraft).
I definitely recommend Boethius, but be forewarned: he's trying to reconcile Plato with Christian theology. If you aren't interested in either of these, it might be boring. I don't agree with the premise from which he argues everything, but I still found his philosophical arguments interesting and his expression beautiful. Consolations of Philosophy is only about 100 pages long, but it took me around 5 hours to read

I'm actually interested in both plato and christian theology, though the latter is something that I know so little about that I feel I would be ill equipped to explore its reconciliation with Plato without first knowing enough about it. I will at least reread your quotes, I promise you that
