Today was by far, one of the crappiest. Even when I lost my dad, that day is now running for it's money. The sad part is, it started off so well. Here's how it happened. hey there, i dont mean to seem like a stalker, i just clicked your prof when you posted to the mecha board and this popped up. that was cool of you to buy a present for someone, and it was pretty crappy that she returned it. heres something that may help you out, it certainly worked for me: learn some sort of martial art, be it kickboxing, karate, jiujutsu, or anything. after a while, it sharpens your mind, i dont know how to explain it much better than that. you learn how to fight, and how to avoid fighting; eventually, you get a really positive outlook on daily life.. i often catch myself figuring "well, today the worst thing that happened was i got poked in the eye with a wooden practice sword during practice.. well, could be worse, at least i'm not blinded" i too define myself as a 'nice guy', but i am no doormat, and as nice as i am, i am not one to be messed with. i havent thrown a punch in anger, or even done anything that would intimidate someone, its just that after doing martial arts for a while, i seem to have an ( ... )

That's probably the best advice I've ever gotten from somebody for dealing with this crap. I mean, I almost feel like slapping myself in the face for not thinking of it myself! =D

What's really cool is that my mom is already going to sign me up for either Kendo, or Karate. The more I think about it the more I realize how great your solution is. I want an aura of bad-ass.

I did fencing for about five years, certainly built up my ego. the thing to remember about kendo, is that although it is derived from swordfighting, it is a sport in hitting people with sticks (though practice swords) but not actual swords. and since it is a sport, it might not give that edge often found in swordfighting. no pun intended ( ... )
