Reita's POV

I glared daggers at the annoying person in front of me. First this man had taken 5 minutes to decide what drink to get, next he spent another 3 minutes and 48 seconds to decide which TYPE of drink to get and another 1 minute and 19 seconds to finalise whether he wanted it hot or cold. Oh and at that moment, as if to mock me even further, the sound system cued Katy Perry's Hot and Cold to enhance the already very strong essence of annoyance in me. Thank you so very much random iPod shuffler stereo speaker… thingy. Thank goodness there weren't multi-coloured straws in this cafe, and yes if you were wondering, I had kept count as when I wasn't glaring at him I was staring at the clock on the wall behind him.
He had hazel brown hair which was slightly mussed. I hadn't seen his face as yet as all I had been death-glaring at was the back of his head for now he was rummaging through his wallet for coins to pay for his goddamned ice latte. Endless strings of curses were coursing through my head. Stupid bastard stupid bastard stupid bastard stupid bas-

"Hey excuse me, sorry to bother you but do you think you can spare me 5 cents?"

I blinked. I blinked again, back at the pair of dark brown eyes staring at me in slight embarrassment. Hold on… What? 5 cents?

"Um yeah, I've got no more coins and I don't really wanna touch my only 50 dollar note now just for this drink…" he averted his eyes and scratched the back of his head, laughing a little.

There was a nice ring in his laugh... No wait, what!? 5 cents huh...

Before I knew it, as if my body was on auto-pilot, my hands reached into my pockets and dug out all the coins I had. After sorting, I triumphantly placed a 5 cent coin on his outstretched palm and gave him a wide grin.

He smiled widely and revealed a dimple at the left corner of his mouth, "Oh hey thanks! Thanks a lot really!" and he laughed again. This time not only did it sound like wind chimes in the wind, my heart had also skipped a beat. Before I knew it, this unknown stranger had unwittingly charmed all my annoyance away.

I then nodded and the lady at the counter gestured for my turn to order. However by then I had already clean forgotten what I had wanted to get but not wanting to seem stupid, I ordered a random cappuccino off the menu and paid for it. Shoving my wallet into the back of my jeans, I picked up the drink and left.

Squeezing through the crammed tables and chairs amidst the bustling chatter, I made it to the doors of the cafe. I had only started to push it a little when suddenly the door flung itself open by force and what revealed itself in front of me was a panting young man who couldn't be very much younger than me, with messed up flyaway hazel brown hair, bent over with one hand clutching the door and another at his hip.

I blinked. I blinked again, back at the pair of brown eyes staring at me with slight embarrassment once more. His cheeks were tinged with a slight pink.

"Erm well I was thinking since you see you had helped me pay for a tiny percentage of my drink I kinda owe you one, a debt sort of, like 5 cents so perhaps I could like stick around and maybe be there to pay 5 cents when you buy a drink or whatever and you don't wanna use big notes you know?"

How he had managed to blab out so much so fast was completely beyond me. But now he had averted his eyes, and was scratching the back of his head and laughing that laugh again.

The idea of him asking me to pay 5 cents for his drink was ridiculous. His suggestion of paying 5 cents for me was just as ridiculous too. However what was even more ridiculous was me laughing and saying "Sure I'd like that. A lot."
