Comments: Another café fic ._.

Kai sat at the corner table, waving the waitress away each time she tried to refill his glass of water. He made a mental note to himself not to finish it off at one go if he was going to be there for more than 2 hours. Well, not that he had seen this coming of course. That is, himself sitting idly at a cafe patiently waiting for an opportune moment to come.

He tapped his fingers rhythmically against the oaked table, hoping that the steady beat will trigger something in his brain to come up with anything to bring him 8 steps away to the table at the window. Or more specifically, to the man at the table at the window.

After 2 hours of observation, Kai could tell us this: The man had blonde hair. The man had been intensely reading a motocross magazine since Kai set foot into the shop. The man was roughly around his age. Actually, Kai didn't know this for sure but he chose to believe this. The man had nothing on his table except a glass of water, just like him, and a white porcelain plate next to it littered with leftover sandwich crumbs.

Now, having sat there for the past couple of hours, Kai found himself wishing that he knew what sandwich the man was having so he could order another and use it as an excuse to plop down at his table. But alas, the food was already gone when Kai came in.

Kai scanned the immediate surroundings of the man again. Outside traffic, window, table, targ-waitress!? Damn was that woman annoying! Was she trying to pick him up? Kai gritted his teeth. Women had better not be his cup of tea! If not he would have wasted the past few hours for nothing! He clenched up his fist and narrowed his eyes at the waitress obscuring his view from his target.

"Would you to order anything else sir? How about chamomile tea?" the waitress asked, her voice seemingly more girlish than when she spoke to Kai just minutes ago. Stupid bitch! Kai cursed inwardly. Now now Kai, no negative thoughts or your dimple would morph into wrinkles! He cringed. Then he composed himself and continued listening.

"It's alright, I'm fine. Chamomile tea isn't my cup of tea. I don't like tea." the man replied politely, giving the blushing waitress a small smile.

Tea. Chamomile tea. Cup of tea? Cup of tea... Yes that's right! "Cup of tea!"

5 pairs of eyes landed upon Kai. He blinked. The sudden realisation of having exclaimed aloud hit him and he chuckled nervously, his fingers hurriedly searching for the glass of water only to sip on little mouthfuls of air.

He didn't refill his glass.

Kai thought he was about to die of embarrassment but fortunately or unfortunately the only pair of eyes that wasn't focused on him now was the man! He let out a sigh of relief and grinned to himself. He had a plan.

After everyone else reverted back to what they were doing before Kai's outburst, and the waitress had came over to top up his glass whilst struggling to conceal what must be high pitched giggles judging from her coquettish mannerisms, Kai took a large gulp of water and stood up, making his way over to the table at the window.

"How about a cup of mocha?"

Reita looked up, his insides churning 60km/h faster than just now when he saw the brown-haired man from the other table standing before him.

"Excuse me?" He mentally slapped himself. He must have sounded rude! But all he wanted to do was to deliver the shortest response possible before his voice quavered and made him look like a loser.

"Would you like a cup of mocha? Cos I overhead your conversation earlier and it seems like tea isn't your cup of tea." the brown-haired man continued, laughing a little at his little pun.

Reita felt his ears getting hot. Thank goodness he hadn't had a haircut in awhile, if not he'd be embarrassed as hell. So the man had heard the whole tea thing with the waitress? That only confirmed Reita's suspicion that someone was staring at him for almost the whole time he was there, causing him to reread his magazine 22 times and his legs to lock, rendering him unable to get out of his chair, much less the shop.

Then again, if Reita really wanted to, he could have stood up anytime and exit the door behind him, yet he didn't.

"Ah, but I don't like coffee either..."

The brown-haired man now looked lost and confused. Reita laughed inwardly to himself, he must have been counting on using coffee to approach him! How silly... And how more adorable could he get?

"It's okay, you can get me a vanilla frappe though. I'm fine with those."

Kai blinked. His brain rebooted and he smiled widely. For a moment there he had thought that that moment was one of his top 10 epic failures in his life!

"Sure! I'll get it now!"

Reita chuckled once more as the brown-haired man turned on his heel and nearly stumbled onto the counter when he needn't have to do so as the waitress was just barely a meter away from them, intently listening to their exchange and was now thoroughly demoralised.

A soft clink sounded as Kai returned and set the tall glass gently atop the table. Now he was fidgeting. He never saw himself coming this far so he hadn't planned what to do next. However, he didn't have to worry, as the man was the one who broke the ice.

"I'm Reita, what's your name?"

"Oh I'm Kai! Nice to meet you!"

"I see. Me too. Thanks for the drink." The man lifted the glass and took a sip of it, grinning at Kai as he did so.

Kai gulped.

"Actually, to be honest, I don't know what else to say..."

This time Reita couldn't conceal his smile. The blunt honestly of the brown-haired man was too much for him to bear.

"Well we could start off with me telling you the contents of this magazine word for word."

The brown-haired man blinked and sat up even straighter.

"Word for word?"

Reita nodded.

"Yup, word for word. I've read it 22 times. The 2nd time begun when you came in and took your seat. And the 22nd time ended when you came over and asked me if I'd like a mocha."

Kai's eyes widened and his jaw fell.

Reita placed the tall glass back on the table and laughed, his eyes narrowing into half-moons.

Too cute. This man was too cute.
