Synopsis: Aoi and Shou have split personality disorder. What happens when parts of themselves hate and love one of the other, when the main individuals themselves are not aware of their other identities?

"Your home? You mean, Kazamasa Mental Institution's your home?"

"Yup! I've been here for as long as I can remember. That's why my friend can visit me whenever he wants, but not vice versa."

Shaking his head to clear his mind, Aoi tried to divert his attention to other thoughts but the new friend he just made kept surfacing to mind. He really was something else - Shou, that is. Aoi wondered who the friend he kept going on about was. He wondered if he would run into him at his next visit to the hospital, which, he realized with a shock, was 6 months away.

Shoot.

Then again, there was never an express rule that Aoi could only turn up whenever he had an appointment. Even if he had to, it was with Shou who was a resident there. No one could refute either one of them on that. Letting out a content and tired sigh at the long day coupled with the strange turn of events, Aoi allowed his eyelids to fall shut as he settled comfortably back onto the train’s cushioned seat.

“Fuck!”

“What’s wrong Ruki?”

“Don’t speak to me you fag.”

“… I’m sorry.”

“Shut the fuck up. Aoi needs our help again. No scratch that. He needs my help. Not yours.”

“Why Ruki? He seems fine now. He’s much better than he was in that middle school. Those bullies aren’t here anymore, and he just made a new nice friend today - Shou, is that his name-“

“Quit it! Don’t you see? That Shou is gonna be Aoi’s downfall. He’s going to hurt him like those bastards did in that changing room. I don’t need to remind you who protected him do I?”

Uruha fell silent.

Ruki, however continued on with his rampage.

“I’m not going to let Aoi get near that guy anymore.”

Nibbling on his lower lip, Uruha spoke up. “But Ruki, you were the one who told me not to blow our cover 2 years ago remember? We remained in the dark all this while so the doctor couldn’t find us out. If we appear now, it might be bad for Aoi.”

Ruki sneered. “I’m amazed you remember that Uruha.” He tapped on his chin as he frowned. “I guess I’ll just have to come out with more caution. As compared to you, I only made an appearance once 2 years ago. Unlike you, who messed up every single time you did.” Ruki rounded and glared at the said person who whimpered. “You had better not show your fucking face and ruin my plans. Just stay where you are or disappear already.”

Uruha hastily nodded and clamped down on his lip.

Eyes still closed, Aoi swiped his mouth with the back of his hand, having had the sensation that he was drooling in public. However, instead of clear liquid, what was smeared on his hand was a smudge of crimson.
