"You should smile more often," Kai said, abruptly breaking the silence in the studio.
Reita paused in plucking his bass and glanced up at his friend. He quirked a brow, "What's with that all of a sudden?"
"Nothing. Just stating a fact! You should lighten up sometimes and you look a whole lot better when you smile!" Kai said, smiling and flashing his signature dimple as he set down his pair of battered drumsticks on the snare drum.
Reita snorted and turned his attention back to his bass, picking up his pick and jotting random notes down.
Kai frowned, a little peeved at being ignored.
"Hey Rei."
He received a grunt in response.
Kai pouted. "Rei~"
Reita sighed and reluctantly put down his instrument. "Yes Kai?"
Kai did a little victory dance in his head at finally being acknowledged. "Smile for me!"
Reita's eye twitched. Annoyed yet surprised at the same time at Kai's persistence of this stupid issue.
"No. Go away I'm busy."
Kai pouted at Reita's cold reply. But he wasn't ready to give up just yet.
Glad that Kai wasn't bugging him anymore, Reita returned to his bass and resumed his half-assed composing, until he felt something a fleeting warm thing brush against his cheek. Wha-
He quickly spun around to find Kai's face right next to his, his eyes glinting and smiling so widely that his dimple shone in all their mischievous glory.
The sudden realisation of what Kai did hit him.
He felt a hot blush creeping up his neck to the tip of his ears, and he quickly averted his eyes, breaking off eye contact with Kai.
Kai grinned, knowing he was winning. He gently nudged Reita and poked him lightly at his side. "Rei~ta~"
"What?" came the small reply from Reita who was still turned away from him.
Kai leaned over and looked at Reita dead straight in the eye, noticing the small smile he had on his beet red face.
Kai grinned, victorious, and leaned back onto the couch and smirked, "See, I told you, you look way better when you smile."
