I like the image of "raw sapphire". Even though it has no real meaning, it is still somehow evocative. Nice job.

It wasn't mean to make much sense.. I was experimenting with ways of phrasing this and somehow, raw sapphire (although there is no such thing) just hit the spot in my opinion. I'm glad you liked it. I was kinda worrying about that one.

Using "girl" and ending with "woman" was perfect.
I also love how she turned the water to steam at the end.
