wow, that's a harrowing tour of the Circles, and having TCG for a guide is perfect!

I feel so bad for Gene! and all of them, really. you've painted such a vivid picture of their torment.

I dont think Sam can save anybody, but I love that he has to try. and that he knows what's real.

Thank you! Well, it was never going to be lightness and roses being there.

This was fun to write.

Wow, this was a super-dark but very interesting read. Sam's take on the seven circles of hell, and where those he loves (or loathes) would fetch up, really surprised me at times. I could see Litton winding up in the level for gluttony, Woolf in avarice, Phyllis in wrath, and Morgan in heresy; but Ruth/Maya/Annie in the level for lust did surprise and intrigue me. Of course this is Sam's febrile mind, so perhaps not so odd after all. Several parts were especially chilling: the pitiful fate of Vic; the episodes with Crane and Warren; Sam's enjoyment of the sufferings of his 'enemies' (I found this especially disturbing), and of course his horrific vision at the end. Truly nightmare fodder, scary stuff indeed. Well done <333
