phred and I adopted a dog from the humane society on Monday. She is a beautiful Queensland heeler/mix and her name is Sophie. She is the sweetest thing ever, all she wants is love and attention, which I am happy to give

Congrats on the dogling. I would strongly, strongly recommend having the pup checked out by a vet. Dogs DO NOT cough as a general rule. Most likely caught kennel cough from being the AZHS. Not end of the world stuff, but it can become chronic and debilitating.

As for the poo and stuff during the night, most doggies go out about 30 minutes post food. So recommend no midnight grazing.... Let me know if we can do anything for y'all.

Thanks! I am super excited about it!!

We took her to the vet yesterday. However I noticed she coughs more when she gets excited, phred and I are keeping an eye on it. We will be taking her in for some shots and a follow up on the 22nd.
