Today is Dave's and my 9th anniversary. With a nod to the meme that's been circulating recently, I'm really not sure whether my 16 year old self would be surprised or not. This week has been a bit surreal. It started with me being rather horrible to Dave (I haven't seen him that hurt in a long time) and it ended with him telling me just now that this has been one of the best weeks of his life. !? My company downsized or whatever it's called yesterday, fired 4 people (40 person company). It kinda freaked me out, but all seems to be well now.

Dave's surgery (to get his nose fixed) went ok. I don't think I've ever seen him quite so wretched-looking as when he first got out though- cotton taped all over his nose and very watery-eyed and groggy looking. Dave broke his nose. :P He hasn't been able to play ultimate still because of his shoulder, but he started playing soccer again. He's on an IM team that's actually really good, they have some former-varsity players and just a bunch of excellent ball handlers. From saturday at potlatch. Sunday Dave got a layout D and his man decided to lay out on top of him and dislocate his shoulder. Now Dave claims that his physical therapist says I have to give him daily massages. hmm. Oh well, anything that'll make a full recovery more likely.
