*books flight to Scotland*

No seriously, try moving the glass over the drain so that it falls in and then open the tap a lot and maybe it will drown.

For some reason I am morally opposed to drowning the spider, but not to letting it suffocate over night in a pint glass. I'm feigning ignorance.

I don't mind the little ones, this one is just big, and I think putting it in the glass made it angry...

D: I get ones like that in my house every day this time of year. They're effing scary and I can't even imagine getting close enough to put a glass over one.

WHY DO THOSE EXIST???

I don't mind the small ones. This one is just so freaking big. At least I found it in the bath, and not inches from my head as I was lying in bed like last time. That's the only time in my life I have actually screamed.

YIKES!

Just kill it! Drown it or pour hot water over it - spiders must simply die! *shudders*

I somehow managed to get it out the window (using the old glass and paper trick!).

It's just the way they move. Blergh.

That's a big one!

We keep a plastic jug in the bathroom - it's for rinsing hair in the bath, but it's also useful for scooping up spiders and tipping them out of the window.

It spent last night under a plastic pint glass. It took me nearly 18 hours to build up the courage to throw it out the window. I'm just glad no one was around to see me being a wimp. I even did the 'get it off me' dance after the first failed attempt to pick it up!
