ditto.. attachment to a shop can help with that. There are lots of tool and scrap material that most people won't notice if you go smack some with a hammer.
One time, when I was working for Sprint PCS in maintenance, my boss told me, "I want you to knock out a wall." And he went to an office (with big windows to the call center) and showed me.
Frank: The wall. This one?
Boss: Yup.
Frank: Like, knock it down? Because, there's no coming back from this. Wanna be sure.
Boss Yup. All I wanna see is studs.

So I started knocking out the drywall not unlike circa 1980s Bobcat Goldthwait in comedic frenzy. More than a few people stopped by and asked if I was ok.
:: dust covered Frank, holding a mallet tightly, grinning :: "I'm just fine. Just workin'"
