Aah, so much fun.
Friday: I ended up spending 2 hours in the registration line. Registered or pre-registered didn't matter, we all stood in the same line. They took the line from outside into the parking garage, thank god for that, it was cold all weekend, especially in my Luffy costume. So I ended up spending 2 hours chatting with people via picto chat in the garage. It was some kind of hilarious.
After finally getting registered, Pirates vs Ninjas Dance Off. That was a ton of fun. The Pirates ended up being terribly short-handed, but as the contest went on, we managed to pull in several recruits. In the end we won. Small point of irony, remember me complaining about the Baltimore girl who said she wasn't interested in dating and a month later got a boyfriend? Well, he got the "hot as fire" award and I got "cool as ice." I found that pretty amusing.
Saturday: Spent most of my time wandering until the ball. I wish I could have been there for the "Rhythm games you haven't played" panel, but oh well. Played around in the game room a good bit... it would have been nice if they had a better Guitar Hero World Tour drum set, having 6 drums on a 5 drum game really threw me off, they could have at least doubled up on the far right drum instead of one of the middle drums. I failed at Beatmania, I felt like a total noob playing level 3 songs while everyone else was playing 9's. I somehow managed to break my sandals. I managed to "repair" them, but they look like something professor Stein would wear, lol. Ball was a lot of fun, I ended up going in my movie Touga costume, but I didn't have a red wig to complete the part, but it passed for semi formal. I ended up spending a lot of time dancing with a group from Delaware. It was kind of hilarious waltzing with a someone while group of 6 people holding hands danced in a ring around us. The rave was pretty fun too, though I was pretty much danced out between the PvN, ballroom dancing, and spending 2 days on my feet.
Sunday: Got woke up at 10 in the morning after only getting 4 hours of sleep. I got a pair of zori (straw sandals,) so my Luffy costume is FINALLY complete. I was so tempted to buy myself a copy of Jump Ultimate Stars or Phantasy Star 0 for my DS, but I decided against it. And I fail at life, after all the new friends I made (Deleware people from the ballroom, several kickass dancers from PvN), I didn't get contact info for any of them. >D And it took me until Sunday to deliver the v-day gift I brought with me, even then she couldn't spend a few minutes talking with me. *face desk* Oh well, at least I had a good time.
