History

More than half of Atsushi's life had been spent in Japan, a country whose culture he most treasures. He does, however, retain practices from other European countries; ones his father, in particular, favored a certain time or other - though they neither talk about this very much nor allow themselves the chance to reminisce. Nevertheless, having a world-famous French designer for a mother is a difficult topic to avoid and over the years, Atsushi's disposition towards said mother had only grown worse. He is probably a short stop away from hating her completely, as she was the woman who left him behind.

Regardless, he does not seem to feel this way about his brother. In reality, Atsushi has very few but important memories of having a brother who looks exactly like him; one who was perfect, absolutely wonderful and inevitably most-loved. Although, these are among the issues he never readily brings up. Over the course of graduating from junior high, Atsushi had learned how to keep most of these opinions to himself, which was why he buried himself in school work and found a medium to keep himself from ever thinking about his past.

Now, having entered a fairly reputable finishing school, Atsushi's life was nearly complete. Of course, that was until, he overheard his father speaking on the phone in harsh tones late one night - there was not a doubt to whom he was speaking. And it did not take long before Atsushi found that his twin brother had moved back into the country (about three train rides away), and also that he was attending another well-known school - one which Atsushi had thought to attend if not for the distance.

But with his mind made up and with the desire to meet the brother he wasn't so sure he knew anymore, Atsushi quickly got to work, filling out forms and obtaining all the documents he would need for the transfer. He wrote to the director of the school, took a deep breath before having that badly needed conversation with his father, packed his bags, and got ready to move.

Personality

Withdrawn and rather bookish, usually taking to the shade of a large tree or keeping within the confines of his room (if not at the library), Atsushi believes that he is as plain as they come - the occasional thick, framed glasses included. He enjoys watching musicals (perhaps the opera when on vacation), sketching and painting in his spare time, and napping the hours away (for one can never have enough rest, he argues). As such, whenever asked, he is the type to promptly refuse a chance to play a game in the sun, citing anemia as the forefront of his grievances. Although, sources say that this may not be entirely true. Regardless, the boy much prefers archery to any other sport.

The painful fact is that Atsushi does not quite know how to be around other people, often pulling away from large crowds (for they make him nervous) and trying his utmost best to mind his own business; however, not without a twinkle of curiosity in his eyes. In an essence, Atsushi is not what one might call shy either, able to speak his mind and be most passionate about his interests, though only in the company of his small circle of friends or perhaps at school (an outlet for his many frustrations). It is, therefore, evident that it may be difficult to gain his trust, even if one might already call him a friend. Now, to anyone and everyone else, he can be properly called a prude, a nickname he was grown used to.

Generally fond of flowers and being surrounded by nature, Atsushi is likely to keep a packet of seeds in his pocket; a habit formed from venturing into secret gardens and woodlands when on trips with his father. Just as well, Atsushi adores animals and would like to someday become a well-practiced veterinarian, following his honorable father's footsteps into the medical field, though in a decidedly different track. On the other hand, it has been noted that Atsuhi may not and refuses to get along with his estranged mother, the reasons for which we can look into.

Appearance

As opposed to his twin brother, Atsushi's hair had long ago been cut short (despite his mother's protests) and its ends only barely reach the nape of his neck, both simple and efficient. However, we may further note that although Atsushi is not particularly vain, he does favor some accessories, such as a certain red hair-ribbon he ties around his head when practicing at a local gallery, and a pair of bronze-colored spectacles (which if observed carefully, actually do not contain corrective lenses). He is probably not as petit as his brother, though shorter than most boys, certainly not gangly, with suffient muscle to be able to hold a large bow and at the same time, to support enough gear. He also has a rather feminine-looking face, but one not as prominent as Ryou's.
