Meer Campbell Age 17 Just a nobody who wants to be somebody
"Another ordinary day... Nothing special. Just go to school and be laughed at..."
Thoughts race by
"Haha! You? Lacus Clyne?! You're crazy, Meer." A girl's voice rang out.
"You'll always be Meer Campbell. Just plain Meer. Who in their right mind would see you as THE Lacus Clyne just because of your voice?" Another girl's voice rang out in Meer's mind.
During dinner
"Thinking about being her again? Please darling, you've got to stop this nonsense." Meer's mother said to her.
"But...but! I can be her if I want to... right? I have the potential! I have the voice! I CAN do it! Right, father?" Meer cried out as she turned to her father for support.
"Meer... your mother's right. You are NOT Lacus Clyne and will NEVER be. Stop this delusional talk!" Meer's father said dangerously.
"YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND ME AT ALL!" Meer screamed and ran to her room.
"M-Meer... why...?" Meer's mother sobbed.
Next Day
"Shizukana kono yoru ni anata wo matteru no..." Meer sang quietly.
"Lacus Clyne?" Someone tapped her on the shoulder.
"What? You thought I was Lacus Clyne?!"
Meer grabbed the person behind her, it was her best friend.
"Um, Meer? Snap out of it! I didn't call nobody Lacus! I saw you gazing at the floor and wondered what was wrong with you. Are you okay?" Her friend looked at her with a worried eye.
"Y-yeah... I am..." Meer muttered.
"Okay then! Dont forget that we're going to buy Kari's present after school!" Her friend waved.
Meer waved back.
After school at the mall
"Oh! Kari will like this skirt! It's just HER!" Meer's friends giggled among themselves.
Meer wandered around the mall. A huge poster of Lacus at the CD Shop's entrance caught her attention.
CAN YOU SING LIKE LACUS CLYNE? CAN YOU MOVE LIKE LACUS CLYNE? IF YES, THEN COME TO THE AUDITIONS AT THE COSMIC RECORDS TOWERS. YOU MIGHT JUST BE THE NEXT LACUS CLYNE!
Meer stared hard at the poster.
"This is my chance... my chance to prove that I CAN be Lacus Clyne. Father... Mother... LAcus-sama... you'll see..."
