I'm glad to hear that you are recovering from your surgery. I was supposed to have that procedure, but the doctor couldn't get my gall bladder out so she had to do it old style with a longer cut. Maybe we can share operation scars if we ever get to meet! ^_~

Oh man, that must have sucked. It takes a lot longer to heal from open abdominal, doesn't it? I had an open abdominal surgery when I had my appendix out as a kid, and it took me like a month to recover. This time it's only supposed to take like a week, maybe week and a half.

The doctor was worried about me so she had a drainage tube stuck in my stomach, which she didn't take out for two weeks. I stayed home during all that time, but my only real restriction was no heavy lifting for six weeks. I think the worst part of recovery was the fact that I couldn't laugh without being in pain for awhile. So I spent a lot of time watching horror movies and old movies I hadn't seen in awhile.

I never want to see another breathing machine. I think Mom was frustrated because I always made it go higher when my boyfriend was around. XD

Sleep as much as you need and don't worry about how much you're sleeping. Healing takes a lot of energy and it's easier for your body to do when it's not running everything else at full tilt.
