Fandom/Pairings: High School Musical; Ryan/Javier
Rating: R for Really Not Hot
Pre-Notes: I am somewhat baffled by the lack of Ryan/Javier and have thusly decided to rectify the matter. For my
un_love_you claim of Ryan Evans. :]
Disclaimer: Disney and I have an understanding-I play with them and then I put them back when I'm done. That's it!
Summary: It was supposed to be a pick-me-up. It wasn't.

“And every turn will be safe with me.”
One of the problems with getting whatever you want is that it's difficult and somewhat hard to comprehend not being able to get what you want-which is probably why not being able to have Chad pissed him off. More correctly: it pissed Ryan off that he had Chad and now he didn't.
Except he shouldn't have been pissed off because being pissed off would have implied that he was breaking rule four and he wasn't breaking rule four because Ryan Evans did not fall in love. He sometimes fell into like, but he did not fall in love. He just-fuck it. Ryan Evans was irrevocably in love with one curly-haired basketball player named Chad Danforth. There was no doubting this and there was no more denying it. He'd been denying it too long as it was-Kelsi was always telling him that he should just talk to Chad, but look at where that had gotten him. Dumped (though not technically) and more in love with the bastard than ever.
He needed a break. No, he needed to be fucked.
Ryan looks around the pool area. Lava Springs belongs to him. It may look like it doesn't, but Lava Springs is Ryan's territory and Sharpay knows better than to question it. He only lets her appear to be Queen because everyone knows that she isn't, truly, and he doesn't much care if she pretends. He lets her pretend, because it's easier than telling her not to.
Across the pool, folding towels and without a shirt, is Javier. The new pool boy Ryan never quite remembers the name of is closer to him, but not as attractive and wearing a shirt. Pushing himself up, out of the lounge chair he'd been occupying, Ryan stretches for a moment before walking over to Javier.
“Javier,” Ryan says sweetly, “could you help me with something?”
Javier has been at Lava Springs long enough to know that when Ryan asks for help with something, it is usually only one thing. Without missing a beat, he carefully finishes folding his towel and then straightens to address Ryan-because Ryan is always Ryan and not Mister Evans.
“Sure,” he replies, “what do you need help with?”
“The electricity keeps going in and out in my cabin-could you help me fix it?”
It's only mostly a lie-the electricity in the cabins is rather hit or miss. Javier knows this and Ryan knows this, but they both know that the electricity in the cabins isn't really what they're talking about at all.
“I'll come check it out,” Javier says smoothly, “let me go notify Mr. Fulton and I'll be there in fifteen minutes.”
Ryan smirks-an expression everyone at Lava Springs knows is especially dangerous if directed at you-and walks off toward his cabin with a little wave. He knows Fulton won't even question why a pool boy is going to help Ryan fix his electricity. Fulton never questions anything because he's been at Lava Springs long enough to know that his primary job is to keep Ryan and Sharpay happy. It is not to make sure Lava Springs runs smoothly (although it is, because if Lava Springs isn't running smoothly then Ryan and Sharpay are not happy) or to keep anyone in line. No, all Fulton has to do is keep Ryan and Sharpay happy.
In passing, Ryan feels sorry for Fulton. His job is kind of awful.
It doesn't really concern him though, so Ryan doesn't think much more about it. Instead, he unlocks the door to his cabin and flips on the light switch. Nothing happens. Well fuck, he hadn't actually meant it when he said the electricity wasn't working. With a roll of his eyes, Ryan walks over to the couch and collapses onto it, waiting for Javier.
There isn't really a whole lot else he can do with the electricity coming in and out. No AC either-Ryan sighs and pulls off the polo shirt he's wearing and drapes it along the back of the couch. Javier won't mind and the shirt is sticking to his skin awkwardly anyway. Damn New Mexico heat. Ryan lets his eyes flutter closed and he sits, trying not to remember anything-trying to block out anything.
There's a knock at the door and Ryan rises with practised grace. Javier is standing at the door, as expected. He gives Ryan a soft smile as he comes in and Ryan shuts the door-they're at ease with each other because there is nothing between them besides Ryan being fuckable and Javier liking that Ryan was fuckable. Ryan wants release, Javier wants an excuse to not have to work for an hour or two.
That's the sum of their relationship.
“So,” Javier says casually, “the electricity really did go out.”
“Yeah,” Ryan sighs as he crosses over into the bedroom, “because my parents have hired the electrician yet.”
Javier follows him, “You should tell them to do that.”
“It's not a big deal,” Ryan's shrugs and drapes himself onto the bed, “I don't spend much time in here.”
Javier climbs onto the bed too, dipping down to kiss Ryan. Ryan runs his hands along Javier's chest and pulls the elastic of the basketball shorts down, along with the briefs Javier was wearing under them, before taking the cock into his hands and pumping up and down gently. This earns him a soft moan from Javier, which makes Ryan smirk. They're so predictable-so settled in their ways.
Which is why Ryan lifts his hips obediently when Javier tugs down on his swim shorts. He's not wearing anything under them-it defeats the point of swim shorts-and both pairs of shorts are discarded at the side of the bed. Ryan retrieves the lube and a condom from the bedside table, handing the first to Javier and ripping open the second before rolling it smoothly down Javier's cock after pumping it a few more times. Ryan likes the feel of flesh hardening in his grasp-though he much prefers his mouth around it. Javier is scissoring him-and he knows what he's doing, where to press-Ryan moans freely and loudly. There is little to no point in acting around Javier-Ryan's not trying to impress him or convince him of something. He's just trying to get fucked and that's really all he wants.
Ryan's so tired of acting. He's always acting, always. The people closest to him know this and have learned to pick out the rare moments where he's genuinely not acting. Javier is not one of those people, but Ryan hardly acts around him anyways-mostly they fuck and there's no point in acting during that. Even Ryan knows that-which is probably why he sleeps around so much. It offers him a few precious moments where he can drop the act and be purely Ryan.
The nice thing about Javier is he knows exactly when Ryan is ready. Smearing some lube on his cock, Javier presses a kiss to Ryan's forehead before pushing in. It's small gestures-one of the many things they do to show each other that they care, even though they're both only in it for the sex. Under different circumstances, they might have been lovers. Under these circumstances, they're fuckbuddies that happen to know each other well-which is why Javier doesn't take it slow. He plays it hard and fast, just the way Ryan wants it-likes it?
There is a sharp intake of breath from Ryan when Javier fists his cock and pumps in time to their rhythm. This is a dance that Ryan knows well-could practically do in his sleep. There is no syncopation, it's the same as always. Ryan reacts predictably and Javier reacts predictably-like some sort of script they've written out for themselves and feel compelled to follow.
His thoughts are cut off by a moan. Javier has hit the exact spot Ryan's been craving-his eyes are closed and he may not love Javier, but damn if Javier isn't a great fuck. It's probably because they've done it so many times, have fallen into such vanilla patterns, that he's a good fuck. Well, and Javier is actually gay which considerably ups his knowledge of gay sex.
Ryan moans again, as Javier gives a twist of his hand on the downstroke. He's close-so close-and not remembering what he wanted to forget, so it's okay. It's working. It's-ah.
As he's arching up, Javier crashes down and they're nothing more than a tangled mess of sticky, sweaty, worn-out bodies. They remain together in that sort of closeness Ryan doesn't have with anyone else for a few minutes before Javier gets up and tosses the condom and dresses. Ryan just lies there with an arm over his eyes, unsatisfied and kind of pissed off. It's not Javier's fault-it's no one's fault but his own and maybe Chad's. Ryan wanted to blame Chad for everything, but that wasn't the way it worked. No, it didn't work like that at all.
“Are you okay, Ryan?”
“Yeah,” Ryan mumbles, “I'm fine.”
He's about to say something else-ask a question about the meaning of life or something-when he hears banging on the door. It's Sharpay and she's screeching about something his mother wants him to do or something-Ryan can't hear all the details from behind the door. He doesn't want to, really, but he gets up and dresses himself, kissing Javier quickly before answering the door.
“Yes, Sharpay? What is it?”
“Mother wanted to remind you that you have a yoga class in twenty minutes-ugh! Did you sleep with a pool boy again? Ryan, I told you-“
Javier emerges from the bedroom and Sharpay shuts up, giving Ryan a look that says “we are going to have a talk about this later” before flouncing away. Ryan shakes his head.
Life sucks.
