Still a busy few days, which means that I've been on here less than I like to be ... but things should calm down a bit in a little while.
This morning I'm heading into two full days of strategy planning with a couple of other Sierra Club leaders. It's becoming clearer and clearer that a more sustained activism is going to be tremendously important over the next four years, even though the specifics of the threats aren't clearly in focus yet, and that makes things more challenging. Whatever happens, though, I think the effort will be immensely worthwhile.
A number of my friends went to Montana's version of the Women's March on Saturday ... they got around 10,000 people there, which is pretty impressive considering my state's great distances and small population. Hopefully most of those people will stay engaged, and not go home and just revert to being snarky on Facebook.
I heard from one of my septuagenarian cousins in Denmark yesterday, and she's busily knitting Pussy Hats! I'm very proud of her. :)
And don't worry about Charlie ... he's not being neglected: we're still hiking every evening. Here's a photo from one of our recent walks ... the clouds are back, but my iPhone can still find some real loveliness there, too.
