And thank goodness for Kindle anthologies of novels. Since I'm still unemployed, I'm reading a lot, although not as much as I could be. The Pima County library system can't hold a candle to San Diego's, but it still has a lot that I want to read

I sometimes wonder if GRRM's fondness for rape is something he developed late in his career; when I was reading his stuff back in the 1970s (Fevre Dream, After The Festival, and his short stories in Analog) I don't remember any of that.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Iron Druid series in both the Larry Correia and S.M. Stirling fan groups I belong to on Facebook. May have to check it out, as well as the Templar series.

Last one is something I"ve had on my list for awhile. Should check it out. Emperor's Edge I had awhile ago, and didn't hate it reading it. I think I've got the first trilogy somewhere.
