is it working now? i can't see the images anymore (i could before when the code was wrong)

hmm, not sure why things are wonky. yes, this works in IE perfectly now, though admittedly I had only tried in Firefox previously. (curiously, the images *still* don't load in Firefox, but I got some weird one-picture exceptions depending on my caching.)

so... sounds like heads or tails, you can either revert or maintain current code. i'd check and see if you also can view the current page in IE; if so, leave as-is, i say.

sorry for muddying the waters so much! i didn't realize this would be a less-than-standards-consistent behavior. if you want, just intersperse my text links below each picture, and delete our entire confusing thread. that way, no matter whether pictures load visually at first or not, the links will be present.

or if you want, just say "screw it" and go enjoy your celebration of anti-British terrorism. ;-)
