book club

I want to start a book club. I wanted to join one in February and emailed the National Library Board about it. They forwarded my email to another address, which said hello etc and when I asked about the details, they never got back to me.

Yes, I am interested.

A prior experience with a book club: meetings designated on weekdays, and participants given two hours to discuss whatever it was they wanted to discuss. Didn't work for me. I've always imagined a saloon setting in which human restriction of time seems irrelevant.

yes, that, exactly. and i hope it doesn't become too formal either. people are free to bring booze, food, their pets.. anything that makes them happy and talkative.

This is relevant to my interests.

Perhaps if the number of people is suitably small, each could nominate a book for the next meeting.
