Yes, I know I forgot to get my license renewed. I was prepared to pay any penalty, but was told there isn't one. So I headed to DMV to get my license renewed. Under a new Virginia law issued last July 1, you have to prove a "legal presence" in the US. A birth certificate is acceptable ( Read more... )

I actually know now you feel. You know how many fucking hoops I had to jump through to get my drivers license in America?

And I only got it because a kind lady at the IRS of all places backed me up (so to this day I love the IRS more then the DMV). The IRS story is to long for a simple journal entry.

But I agree. Every dog damn fucking illegal Mexican could get a license, yet I, in the country legally and above board had to act like a circus animal to get a drivers license.
